And the Walls Came Tumbling Down

This morning

The rot

Snake skins and mouse-chewed wires

The beginning of the end

The end

In which a snort eats a house ..

OH, so sorry to see the little dome go! The boys really enjoyed sleeping in it – the whole family has fond memories. Dad and Chris and Adam (and team) did an amazing job building it way back when. But it looks like the mice and snakes have been working overtime to tear it down nibble by nibble from the inside…

Soooo sad…. I’ll make sure Mada knows about the little dome!

Yes, it is sad to see it go, but certainly necessary. Its time was up. Today the trucks are here loading up the debris.

I have been asked, “What the heck is a Snort?” So for anyone who isn’t sure, here is a picture of one.

What a pity–thanks for the show and tell. So sad. XXX Anne

If that was just the mini dome, and you tore down and hauled away breakfast, lunch and supper for the mice and the snakes, would it be a logical assumption that the major dome may now be at risk? That little dome may just have been an appetizer for that Snort, God forbid.
